Our team traveled over 1900 miles to two very remote villages up in the northern part of India in the state of West Bengal to conduct Kids Camp in two places with 58 kids gathering from three village churches in one place and 47 kids gathering from 2 village churches in another place. . The children loved the story times and payed such keen attention to every story detail and the messages that we were teaching them. The children along with the elders enjoyed the time of singing, as the team led them in interactive songs of praise and worship. The younger children are listening to their teachers sharing interesting stories and enjoying fun activities. The team had a completely worked out plan, material, and activities for the camp and they fabulously implemented it during the camp each day. It was fascinating to see how they divided the whole group according to their ages for age specific activities and games. All of the children who attended expressed that this camp was the most fun and educational experience ever of Vacation Bible School. We have always struggled with our transportation when traveling as a team to the youth camps. On average we are a team of 10-12 people, plus luggage and camp materials requiring being packed into three small individual vehicles. We have been seeking the Lord for a solution, and in our prayers God revealed that he would like to bless us with a 12-seater Traveler van. This will nicely fit all into one vehicle, saving us a great deal of expense. We are enthusiastically holding onto this promise!

I traveled out to different villages this past week, preaching and teaching the Bible with our presentations. They too expressed this was the first time the Bible stories came alive allowing them to visualize them and understand them! Village woodworking shop, I put in an application. Sugar cane fields Stopped to buy some fresh pressed sugarcane juice! Villages are surrounded by rice patties. On the right is the pump house that draws water from the river and floods all these fields. Now is the time for harvest so the workers are digging this ditch by hand to drain the fields so the rice can dry out before harvest. Just like in America, one works, the other supervises! Traveling “No Color Left Behind” bucket shop. The TV was broken at this church, so I had to make do presenting the Bible stories with my laptop. Typical roadside restaurant. If you look close, you can see cages with live chickens, a man on the far right butchering them, and pots of fresh chicken curry for sale on the left! Sheared sheep This is the ingenious “I push you pull” cart. Many many hours spent releasing people from oppression through the inner healing prayer Visiting with Jasper Paul, and praying with patients at his Second Chance Foundation, a death and dying rescue mission like Mother Teresa‘s. Roz has been teaching nutrition and diet and giving detox foot baths to hundreds of people. We were gifted outfits of traditional Indian dress! Socian Praise and Worship streamed live from our studio. Pastor Lijoy and I traveled back this week to northern India to the villages around the tea gardens. This is Pastor Herald’s church, one of the churches that we completed this year. At this mid-week service I gave a presentation on the story of Abraham, how God sent his angel ahead of his servant to find a wife for his son Isaac. At this Sunday service I gave a presentation and preached on many of the Bible accounts saying how God will go ahead of his people to guide them, protect them, provide for them, and fight for them! We were thrilled to perform four baptisms on this trip and then provided a celebration lunch for everyone. We actually have ten more catechumens in training now for baptism next year! This is Pastor Nabin’s church, another church that we completed this year. Because their small one room homes get so unbearably hot during the summers, we felt led to gift each of the 15 families in this church with a ceiling fan! We were able to buy them for $25 each installed, and we are trusting that God will provide. This is Pastor Nabin’s beautiful family. After praying the inner healing prayer with them, Jasen, the boy in red was pronounced cleared of a life-threatening blood imbalance, Praise God! They are so thrilled! We invited 25 village pastors of this region to come for three days of training using our biblical presentations and practical leadership teaching. They claimed they experienced training like never before! Roz gave 3 lectures today at another nursing college about new research regarding Lymphatics and Nutrition! She was the first nurse lecturer from another country coming to show a new paradigm of practice through Preventative Care. Their response was overwhelming! Ceremonial dancing at the seminar. Mimes demonstrating how a family cares for the sick by not just giving medical treatment, but giving loving care at home. |
